SUSE and Alibaba Cloud Partner to Meet Global Demand for Cloud-Based Business-Critical Applications

NUREMBERG, Germany, Oct. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SUSE® and Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, are expanding their global strategic partnership in public cloud services in response to rapidly growing customer demand for cost-effective and flexible SAP workloads on public cloud. Alibaba Cloud has joined the SUSE Cloud Service Provider program, and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications are now available in the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace for customers worldwide.

Together, SUSE and Alibaba Cloud make it easier for customers to deploy SAP workloads on the Alibaba Cloud. Customers can deploy SAP-as-a-Service within a few clicks and fully deploy the services often in less than 30 minutes. Alibaba Cloud and SUSE also jointly developed and validated a best practice to automate SAP HANA System Replication failover powered by SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability technology.

Additional SUSE products are planned for the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace in the near future.
