Susquehanna Financial Group Expands Its Fixed Income Emerging Market Sales and Trading Platform

BALA CYNWYD, Pa., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Susquehanna Financial Group, LLLP (SFG), the institutional broker-dealer of the Susquehanna International Group of Companies (SIG), announced today it has hired industry veterans Nelson Rangel and Peter Schept as the newest members of the Fixed Income group. Messrs. Rangel and Schept will be part of the emerging markets team and work with Liz Sabados and Jonathan Mersheimer out of SFG's New York office.

Mr. Rangel takes on the role of Head Emerging Markets Trader. He has a significant amount of experience, which includes trading Latin American, Eastern European & Asian corporates/sovereigns for UBS Investment Bank; trading currencies for Citigroup and, most recently, serving as a multi asset class Portfolio Manager for BBVA. Nelson holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University.

Mr. Schept joins the SFG sales team with an extensive background in the Emerging Market space, having worked to build businesses for numerous global players including Societe Generale, BNP Paribas, Santander and UBS.  He attended Rowan University in New Jersey where he graduated with a BA degree. 

The addition of Messrs. Rangel and Schept follows the hiring of Marc R. Pinto, CFA as the Head of Corporate Bond Strategy and David Fox as Senior Agency Trader. SFG continues to seek top-tier industry professionals to round out its institutional client debt franchise.
