NEW YORK, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Susquehanna Financial Group, LLLP (SFG), the institutional broker dealer member of the Susquehanna International Group of Companies (SIG), announced today its recent hiring of Joseph Stauff. Mr. Stauff is a credit analyst on SFG's Event-Driven/Special Situations Desk and a part of SFG's Strategy and Product Overlay team. His coverage focuses on thematic trends in credit, credit sensitive equities and post-reorganization equities. Mr. Stauff is based in SFG's New York office, where he reports to John Larkin, Head of Event-Driven/Special Situations, and Mike Towey, SFG's Director of Research.
"SFG's model is predicated on delivering integrated client solutions," stated Cory Carlesimo, SFG's Head of Equities. "We believe our ability to blur product lines and asset classes is paramount in the new market paradigm. Credit is a critical component to our research strategy and product overlay as we work to synthesize any variable which may impact the investment process for our clients. We are thrilled to welcome an analyst of Joe's caliber to the team."
Prior to joining SFG, Mr. Stauff spent six years at CRT Capital where he was a senior vice president and special situations analyst. Previously, he was a senior media research analyst for Credit Suisse First Boston and Soundview Capital. Mr. Stauff's research is based on a top-down approach to complex capital structures, typically for highly leveraged companies in the decline, restructuring and post-reorganization phases of the business cycle. Mr. Stauff earned his BS from Northeastern University and his MBA from Cornell University's The Johnson School.
"We are extremely excited to add Joe to our expanding team of Special Sits analysts," stated John Larkin. "Joe's expertise complements the work of Special Situations analyst Stephen Velgot, and allows SFG to provide a unique and differentiated special situations research product to our clients."
