Sutter Medical Network Members Among "Elite" of California Physician Organizations

SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Four medical group members of Sutter Health's Sutter Medical Network recently were rated as "elite" or "commendable" by the California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG) in its annual Standards of Excellence survey.  

Sutter Medical Network members recognized includes:

Elite rating

• Brown & Toland Physicians (serving the greater Bay Area)
• Palo Alto Medical Foundation (serving Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Mateo and Alameda Counties)
• Sutter Medical Foundation (serving El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Solano, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba Counties)

Commendable rating

• Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation (serving San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, and Lake Counties)

CAPG's Standards of Excellence survey evaluates the features and capabilities of medical groups across California in four key areas to rate "the infrastructure of a healthcare organization…the tools, people, and processes" needed to deliver high-quality care, affordable care and a positive patient experience. The four domains include care management, health information technology, accountability and transparency, and patient-centered care.
