Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions to Bring "The Young Alchemists" to the Big Screen

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions, in association with writer/producer Norma Pastor, is currently in pre-production for the feature "The Young Alchemists" which is an adaptation from Norma's book of the same title.

The film centers around the adventures of six teens who meet at a private school called The Golddigger Academy, and from the beginning, they form an inseparable bond as they share a common love of curiosity, mischievousness and adventure.  It is these commonalities that lead them into an unpredictable series of escapades, as the friends find themselves immersed in a world of fantasy, intrigue, mystery and suspense that they never could have imagined. 

The story takes place in Bromptonville, a beautiful small but secluded country town just a few miles from New York, where the kids decide to become part of the most powerful, secret organization in the world –The Alchemists.

The story, written by Norma Pastor, author of the award winning story "ALLIE MCKAY AND THE KEEPERS OF THE GOLDEN CROSS," promises plenty of action, mystery, suspense, romance and comedy.
