Swampscott Municipal Integrated Pest Management Program Achieves 43% Reduction in Rodent Activity with Evolve® Rat

(NASDAQ: SNES), the leader in rodent birth control and sustainable rodent population management, today announced that a six-month deployment of Evolve^® Rat as part of a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management program reduced measured rodent activity by 43% at a municipal facility in Swampscott, Massachusetts.

Municipalities across the country are increasingly seeking more effective, sustainable approaches to reducing rodent populations while minimizing reliance on repeated rodenticide applications. The six-month deployment in Swampscott demonstrates how rodent birth control can complement Integrated Pest Management programs by supporting long-term rodent population management.

Fire stations and other municipal facilities often provide ideal harborage and food sources for rodents because of refuse collection areas, landscaping, and surrounding infrastructure. Beginning in September 2025, the Town of Swampscott deployed 20 Evolve^® Rat bait stations around the perimeter of a municipal fire station experiencing ongoing rodent activity as part of a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management program that also included sanitation and waste management improvements.

The program incorporated sanitation improvements, enhanced waste management, and long-term rodent birth control to address both the conditions that attract rodents and future population growth. As part of the Integrated Pest Management strategy, the Town upgraded refuse handling around the facility by replacing several plastic trash containers with a metal dumpster, reducing rodents' access to food sources.

Evolve^® Rat was consistently consumed throughout the deployment, and over the six-month monitoring period, rodent activity across the surveyed area declined by 43%.
