Swisscom Chooses Verizon Business Team to Develop New Security Operations and Management Centers

ZURICH, Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Swisscom has chosen the Verizon Business Professional Security Services team to help the business communications provider boost its security offer for companies headquartered in Switzerland. Verizon Business will help Swisscom develop a new security operations center and a new security management center.  The facilities, which will be located in Zurich, are due to become operational in January.  

The new operations center will further enhance the security services Swisscom is able to offer its local customers by providing a local facility to handle security incidents and alerts -- a regulatory requirement for some market sectors. The management center will provide data center capabilities to support the delivery of Swisscom's comprehensive portfolio of fully integrated communications security services, which is designed to meet the needs of today's extended global enterprises.

Verizon Business will leverage its extensive expertise in the delivery of global security solutions to help build and run the new facilities for Swisscom. Verizon Business' professional security services team will provide extensive planning, development and installation support, and select Verizon Business personnel will also work alongside and train Swisscom's own employees as the new facilities begin operating.
