NEW YORK, May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Synaptic Digital, the new brand resulting from the integration of Medialink and The NewsMarket, today announced the appointment of Mr. Daniel Webster, an Emmy Award-winning news director who brings over 20 years of network news and industry expertise, to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Media.

Mr. Webster will oversee Synaptic Digital's media strategy, including its team of new media and broadcast media relations experts, and the company's global platform for journalists, thenewsmarket.com.

Prior to joining Synaptic Digital, Mr. Webster served as a founding member of The FeedRoom, a pioneer in online video, where he ran news, product and business development efforts. There, Mr. Webster built online video newsrooms for television groups including NBC and Tribune and corporate clients such as Cisco, HP, General Motors, Intel and the Pentagon. He also developed video solutions for CBS Sports, ESPN, Conde Nast and Reuters.

Mr. Webster started his career in media with BBC radio in Northern Ireland and then New York, where he soon joined ABC World News. He then transitioned to local television management and worked in Colorado, Montana, Tennessee, Florida and then California as the News Director at the CBS-owned and operated station KPIX-TV in San Francisco.
