Synchronised Heads Grand National Market After Latest Declaration Stage

MANCHESTER, England, March 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

Synchronised heads the market at 8/1 with Aintree's official betting partner Betfred for the John Smith's Grand National after the latest declaration stage in which a total of 59 horses were left in the race.

The Betfred Cheltenham Gold Cup winner is rated as a 'possible' runner by his trainer Jonjo O'Neill and is set to carry top weight of 11st 10lb if he is given the go-ahead.

"Synchronised would be a fascinating contender if given the
all-clear to run in the Grand National as the Gold Cup winner is essentially now 7lb well-in on the back of his Cheltenham Festival success," said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.

The Willie Mullins-trained Prince de Beauchene is next in the market at 9/1 with former ante-post favourite Junior a 10/1 shot. Mullins has a total of six entries in the race and is rated a 7/2 shot by Betfred to train the winner.
