Syncsort Appoints Gary A. Deutsch Chief Financial Officer

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., Sept. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Syncsort, a global leader in data integration and data protection software solutions, today announced that it has appointed Gary Deutsch to the position of chief financial officer. Reporting to Syncsort's Chief Executive Officer Flavio Santoni, Deutsch will provide leadership to optimize and scale Syncsort's finance and administration infrastructure in support of the overall corporate growth strategy.

Deutsch joins Syncsort from M5 Networks (now ShoreTel), a pioneer in cloud-based hosted VoIP telephony, where he served as chief financial officer. In this role, he guided M5 through tremendous growth, two acquisitions, debt and equity fundraising, and the eventual sale of the company. Deutsch previously held senior leadership positions at Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs, Applied Graphics Technologies and Ztango (now part of RealNetworks).  Additionally, he worked in the Corporate Finance Department at the Walt Disney Company.
