• This release of Syncsort's world-record holding* data integration product features new capabilities designed to help customers maximize their existing technology investments while significantly improving data integration performance.
• The addition of new dynamic workfile compression capabilities in DMExpress enables customers to improve operational efficiency and generate cost savings through dramatically shortened elapsed time and reduced disk space.
• Benefits like these are achieved because of DMExpress' ability to determine whether or not data can be compressed before landing a particular workfile to disk. This saves read/write, I/O time which in turn shortens elapsed time and reduces needed disk space because the data is already compressed and no longer in its raw form.
• The new release also includes an automated upgrade utility that makes it easy for customers to benefit from new versions of DMExpress without having to resave each job and task individually.
• Customers can now simply point to a directory and automatically save DMExpress jobs and tasks in the latest version.  They can also upgrade their jobs pointing to the directory and subdirectories for easy access to the associated jobs and tasks.
