Sysmex America Awarded Three Year Hematology Contract With Premier

MUNDELEIN, Ill., June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Sysmex America, Inc. today announces that the company has signed a three-year contract agreement with Premier Purchasing Partners, LP, the group purchasing unit of Premier Inc.  The contract provides Premier member-hospitals and healthcare sites access to Sysmex hematology analyzers, automation, reagents, consumables and services.  The contract is effective August 1, 2010.  Premier healthcare alliance is one of the largest healthcare alliances in the United States dedicated to serving more than 2,300 U.S. hospitals and 67,000-plus other healthcare sites.  The Sysmex hematology portfolio of products and services has been a vendor service offering for Premier customers since 1998.

Sysmex America was also awarded a three-year sole-source hematology agreement for Premier's Accelerated Supply Chain Endeavor (ASCEND(TM)) program member-participants. ASCEND(TM) helps Premier members achieve sustained improvement in supply chain performance and efficiency.
