Systech and Pester Pac Automation Exhibit Integrated Serialization Solution at Pack Expo 2010

CRANBURY, N.J., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Systech International, innovator of Packaging Execution Systems (PES), and Pester Pac Automation, a leading supplier of end-of-line packaging systems, today announced that they are demonstrating their integrated solution for global serialization requirements at Pack Expo 2010 in Chicago on October 31st.  Booth attendees have the opportunity to examine first hand the actual system that a major pharmaceutical manufacturer will deploy.

The Systech-Pester solution includes Systech's Serialized Product Tracking (SPT) software and Pester's end of line packaging solutions.  Systech SPT serializes products at the item, case, and pallet levels and establishes relevant parent-child relationships.  The solution then collects precise item level data from the entire on-line and off-line packaging operation and efficiently delivers this data back to enterprise IT systems.  Therefore, manufacturers can maintain the data integrity required for track and trace and authentication initiatives without sacrificing line throughput.  

The manufacturer employing the integrated offering will utilize the Pester-Systech equipment for the second time – they had previously implemented a similar end-of-line solution with integrated product serialization in 2007.  For the current project, Pester is offering end-of-line equipment comprising of a top loading casepacker (PEWO-form TLC2), and a two station palletizer (PEWO-pal 6.2) with a 6-axis KUKA robot and an interlayer slip-sheet magazine.  Pester integrates Systech's hard and software applications and prepares all mechanical and electrical interfaces in their machinery.
