TA Services warehousing facility honored with Wisconsin Corporate Safety Award

MANSFIELD, Texas, May 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The TA Services warehousing facility in Janesville, Wisconsin, was recently honored with the Wisconsin Corporate Safety Award by the Wisconsin Safety Council and Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD). The award recognized GSM Transportation, the joint venture between GM Supply and TA Services, for its commitment to maintaining safety best practices for its more than 230 employees and for contributing to the state's mission of safe workplaces for all.

The 185,000-square-foot warehousing facility, operated by GSM Transportation, specializes in storing and handling raw materials and finished goods for a leading industrial manufacturer. TA Services also provides trucking and third-party logistics services at the warehouse.

TA Services was one of only 13 companies recognized for this prestigious award at the 77^th Wisconsin Safety Council Annual Conference last month. An independent panel of 30 judges, made up of safety, health and insurances professionals, selected the TA Services warehouse from a pool of 87 different companies that applied for consideration. Applicants were required to submit data on their safety records, and provide information on their company's safety and health leadership, as well as safety training programs, goals and accomplishments.
