Tacotarian Named One of Nation's Restaurant News 2025 Hot Concepts Award Winners

Vegas-founded Plant-based taqueria recognized as one of the most innovative and impactful restaurant brands in the U.S.

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Tacotarian, the award-winning, plant-based Mexican concept, has been named one of Nation's Restaurant News' 2025 Hot Concepts, a prestigious honor recognizing emerging restaurant brands that are redefining the future of food.

Each year, Nation's Restaurant News selects a short list of standout brands that are rapidly growing, innovating across the industry, and resonating with today's diners. Tacotarian was recognized alongside concepts that reflect the next generation of restaurant excellence, as highlighted in the official announcement here.

"We're incredibly honored to be recognized as a Hot Concept by Nation's Restaurant News alongside these other powerhouses," said co-founder Dan Simmons. "When we opened Tacotarian, our goal was simple: to show people how fun, flavorful, and inclusive plant-based food could be. This recognition reminds us that we're not just serving tacos, we're creating impact."

Founded in 2018, Tacotarian has grown from a single Las Vegas storefront into a multi-unit, nationally celebrated brand with six locations and a rapidly expanding franchise program. Known for serving the "largest selection of vegan tacos in the universe," the brand has become a cult favorite for vegans, flexitarians, and foodies alike.

In addition to its restaurant expansion, Tacotarian recently launched Tacotarian at Home, a retail line of shelf-stable, plant-based taco fillings now available in stores across the U.S., and coming soon to Amazon, further cementing its role as a leader in plant-based innovation.
