Taiwan Excellence Program Continues to Cultivate Innovative Products
Over 100 Taiwanese Companies Participate in National Hardware Show
LAS VEGAS, May 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 100 companies represented Taiwan at the National Hardware Show that ended May 7, 2015 in Las Vegas. The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) introduced this year's most innovative hardware, tools, storage and plumbing products at a product launch during the show.

Taiwanese companies and products represented at the 'Innovative Taiwan' Product Launch included:
iThinking Original Design promoted the Huku Series of tools for the home. Huku offers a screwdriver set with six different types of frequently-used screwdriver bits concealed in an animal body with a magnetic friendly animal headed screwdriver. Huku has a stylish appearance and is perfect for the home craft rooms.
RE-DAI Precision Tools introduced its Tiny Bone (5 in 1) ratchet handle, an exquisite, bijou and multi-function hand tool, which can be used as a screwdriver, flexible ratchet, palm ratchet, speeder handle or as a sliding T handle. It fits easily into a pocket.
Shuter Enterprise presented the Rotational Quick Tip-Out Bin – RFO636, an innovative fixed location management system offering extra convenience, is solidly built and is available in multiple sizes. It allows retailers and shop owners to organize craft supplies, parts and small items with quick and suitable tip-out bins.
Byson International, specializes in faucet and plumbing specialties and featured its classic fountain faucet at the Hardware Show. Products have cUPC certification for US and Canada markets.
Long Tai Copper Corporation, introduced its safety first faucet with red or blue colored LEDs that light to denote the water temperature. Long Tai offers a complete line of faucets, shower heads, OEM parts and valves that are available globally.
Taiwan Excellence Award Fosters Sustained Growth in Hardware Industry
TAITRA and the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs created the Taiwan Excellence Award to encourage Taiwan industries to upgrade and incorporate innovation and value into their products. Two key associations in Taiwan's hardware industry participated in the 'Innovative Taiwan' product launch: the Plumbing Association of Taiwan and the Taiwan Hand Tool Manufacturer's Association. These groups were vital in creating strategic alliances for the manufacturers in their respective industries and promoting modern management, research, high quality production and innovative designs. Through these efforts many outstanding products have been developed and marketed worldwide.
As a result of continuous innovation, Taiwanese hand tool makers saw export volume of USD $2.82 billion in 2014 which represents a 9% growth from 2013. Strong economic ties remain between Taiwan and the USA in which the aforementioned is the largest destination of Taiwanese hand tools, with a 29% of overall exports, followed by Germany, China, Japan and the UK. These figures also point to Taiwan's sustained development in recent years. with tool and plumbing manufacturers demonstrating year after year that their industries have carved new paths in providing innovative products fused with other successful and wide-known industries in Taiwan.
