Tampa General, the region's only academic health system, is recognized as one of the nation's top 50 hospitals in six medical specialties and ranks among the top 10% in five additional medical specialties.

TAMPA, Fla., July 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is once again and for the 10^th straight year, the #1 hospital in the Tampa Bay region, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2025-2026 Best Hospitals rankings. Tampa General continues its reign as one of Florida's top hospitals and earns recognition as one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation in multiple specialties.

The "Best Hospitals" Specialty rankings methodology and Procedures & Conditions ratings methodology measure patient outcomes using data from more than 800 million records of patient care provided by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
