Tara Kreider joins Avison Young in Raleigh, NC
Highly regarded industry leader becomes Principal and Land Practice Leader
RALEIGH, NC, July 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - John Linderman, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's North Carolina region, announced today that highly regarded commercial real estate industry leader Tara Kreider has joined the company in Raleigh.
Effective immediately, Kreider becomes a Principal of Avison Young and Land Practice Leader on Raleigh-Durham's capital markets team. She will focus on building a regional land sales team and practice, as well as mentoring up-and-coming land and investment sales specialists, and recruiting top talent. She will also continue to advise new and existing individual, corporate and institutional clients – including investors, developers and asset managers – on acquisitions, dispositions and other creative land and investment solutions.
Kreider brings to Avison Young 10 years of commercial real estate industry experience and more than 25 years of marketing and business development experience, most recently as a senior vice-president with TradeMark Properties in Raleigh where she specialized in land and investment sales. While with TradeMark Properties, she was a multiple winner of the firm's Advisor of the Year Award and a consistent top producer.

Before joining TradeMark Properties, Kreider was a broker with Byrd Commercial in Raleigh, where she also specialized in land and investment sales. Before then, she operated her own consulting company for 11 years and held progressively senior marketing and development positions with marketing firms and non-profit organizations in Raleigh and Washington, DC.

Kreider is active in the industry as a member of Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women (TCREW) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). She is currently in her third term as an appointed member of the Wake County Planning Board and previously served on the Wake County Board of Adjustment. Kreider holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics from the University of Pittsburgh and is a member of its alumni association.
