NEW YORK, May 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TBWA\Chiat\Day New York announced today the appointment of Andy Nathan (38) as Managing Director and Aaron Griffiths (40) as Creative Director. Nathan was formerly VP/Account Director at Crispin Porter+Bogusky and Griffiths was previously Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy New York.
"Andy has been around great work his entire career. He is a true believer in the power of what great ideas can do for the brand and understands what it takes to drive great work," said Jamie Gallo, President, TBWA\Chiat\Day New York.
Nathan, formerly VP/Account Director at Crispin Porter+Bogusky, was part of the leadership team that drove strategic and creative development of the Microsoft Windows "I'm a PC" global launch campaign. He also was an integral part of the Windows 7 launch campaign, one of the most successful product launches in Microsoft's history. Most recently he's focused his attention on new business development, including the recent MetLife and Bolthouse Farms wins. Throughout his career, Nathan managed several highly respected brands, such as IBM, Philips Electronics, Smirnoff, Miller Lite, Microsoft Windows and MetLife, among others.
"TBWA\Chiat\Day NY has been on a new business tear over the last 12 months (Birdseye, Twix (Global), Kahlua (Global) as well as increases in global responsibilities on Skittles, Starburst, Jameson and Absolut). Aaron adds to an incredible creative bench that includes Kris and Alisa Wixom, Lisa Topol, Sue Anderson and Jonathan Mackler," said Mark Figliulo, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer.
Griffiths previously held the position of Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy New York and will be responsible for Vonage and Michelin. At Ogilvy he oversaw the global brand work for IBM, Kodak, Lenovo and Fanta. Originally, as OgilvyOne's Worldwide Creative Director for IBM, Aaron helped bring together the creative groups from Ogilvy & Mather and OgilvyOne to create one consolidated creative team for IBM's global advertising account. His work has been honored by many international advertising competitions, including One Show, Cannes, LIAA, New York Festival, the Clios, Effies, Art Directors' Club, Andys, Flash Film Festival, Flash in Can and SXSW.
