Proven TCS Expertise Enriches Future for Dallas Nursing Institute
CHICAGO and DALLAS, Dec. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Chicago-based TCS Education System (TCS), an entrepreneurial, nonprofit higher education system, and Dallas-based Dallas Nursing Institute (DNI) are pleased to form a partnership.
Through a social change mission that unifies its entities and distinguishes TCS Education System from any other educational system today, the addition of Dallas Nursing Institute will expand the TCS consortium to a total of five higher education institutions that span the nation. The partnership will allow DNI to focus on student success while benefitting from TCS expertise in areas that include admissions, marketing, online education services, finance, accreditation, compliance, and human resources.
Dr. Michael Horowitz, founding president of TCS Education System since 2009, said the addition of an institution devoted exclusively to health care expands the TCS vision of impacting communities with practitioners dedicated to being change agents. "When you look at the areas of need in our society, health care is critical. With founding principles of cultural sensitivity and service, Dallas Nursing Institute was a natural candidate to join the TCS Education System family."
Dr. Pat Perryman, president of Dallas Nursing Institute, said the new partnership with TCS will enhance the creation of a supportive academic environment, for students and faculty alike. "We are excited to be associated with such a strong, innovative educational system," said Perryman. "The missions and philosophies of both entities align very well and identify the heart of education—student success."
The affiliation with DNI precedes the pending addition of Saybrook University to TCS Education System—two new partnerships that Dr. Horowitz said help advance "an unprecedented vision in practitioner-based education."
