TDY Stay Acquires Controlling Share of Housing Rental Company

SIERRA VISTA, Ariz., March 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TDY Stay has acquired a controlling share of Sierra Vista-based corporate housing company TDY House Rentals, which caters to military and government travelers. Under terms of the private deal, TDY Stay will acquire all corporate housing operations including furnished apartment community properties and houses.

TDY House Rentals, located in Sierra Vista, provides fully furnished corporate housing and apartments to military personnel on short-term travel to Fort Huachuca. As a TDY housing provider to Department of Defense personnel and government contractors since 2005, TDY House Rentals has grown to be one of the largest providers of corporate housing for the Military Intelligence training center at Fort Huachuca.

TDY Stay now has one of the largest inventories of military TDY housing in Arizona with short-term lodging options including furnished apartments and corporate house rentals. TDY Stay housing rates are based on the government per diem rate, which averages around $2,500/month per lease for travelers to the Fort Huachuca Army post. The recent acquisition will allow TDY Stay to surpass military housing providers in the local area in both size and the quality of furnished accommodations.

TDY Stay plans to expand into markets at nearby military installations including Air Force bases in Tucson and Las Vegas. As a relatively new company, TDY Stay experienced rapid growth by marketing through the nationwide TDY Lodging reservation portal for DoD and government travelers. The extended stay corporate housing platform of TDY Stay has created opportunities for several long-term contracts and reduced overhead by utilizing the inventory of other housing providers when company owned properties have been unavailable. Based on current funding, TDY Stay expects further expansion and rapid growth into new markets.
