Teachscape Appoints Celia Ffrench to VP and GM of Higher Education Business
Ffrench's higher education expertise expected to expand Teachscape's role in educating teachers
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Teachscape, the leader in delivering web-based professional learning content, innovative technologies, and expert services to improve teaching practice, has named Celia Ffrench as vice president and general manager of its higher education business. Teachscape partners with regionally accredited institutions of higher education to offer online master's degree programs and graduate courses for K–12 teachers. Ffrench's intricate knowledge of marketing for higher education institutions will be instrumental in helping to grow this area of Teachscape's business.

As vice president and general manager of higher education, Ffrench is responsible for developing the higher education business by providing strategic leadership in program development, improving teachers' course experience and their classroom outcomes, and spearheading new business partnerships.
Before joining Teachscape, Ffrench was vice president of Dana Education Corporation, a start-up education investment company. Prior to that position, Ffrench was a marketing executive at Career Education Corporation, a for-profit higher education management company with 90 campuses in the U.S., France, Italy, and the United Kingdom. In this role, Ffrench led the strategy and development of all marketing activities for the university division.
Teachscape's higher education offerings consist of master's degrees and graduate courses that are offered nationwide in partnership with accredited universities. These programs are offered directly to teachers and in association with school districts, through which customized programs of study link district goals to teachers' professional development. In 2007, Teachscape launched its first online master's degree program in partnership with Marygrove College.
