"We are pleased to take part in this event and support our local community in this way," said Fred Wilson, President of Local 776. "It's a season when giving to charity is especially important. The members of our local union wanted to contribute in this way and assist children and families in need."
The local union has been purchasing toys for the donation for several weeks. They plan to distribute their gifts on Thursday, Dec. 19 at 9 a.m. at the Ronald McDonald House, 745 W. Governor Road in Hershey.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Pennsylvania provides comfort and care to children and their families through Ronald McDonald House and by making grants to other local not-for-profit organizations that help children in need. They also fund the Ronald McDonald Family Room, Hospitality Cart, and family lounges at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital.
