Techonomy's Signature Annual Gathering to Follow Huge Detroit Success
Leaders From Top Global Companies, Academia, and Government to Gather at 4th Annual Techonomy Retreat to Explore Tech's Impact on Business
NEW YORK, Oct. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 700 national and local leaders from the worlds of technology, business, government and media attended the sold out Techonomy Detroit event in mid-September on the campus of Wayne State University. And in mid-November, Techonomy deepens the dialogue with its fourth annual invite-only Techonomy conference. In Detroit, speakers included Square CEO Jack Dorsey, Etsy CEO Chad Dickerson, Jean Case of the Case Foundation, Andrew Yang of Venture for America, and Michigan Governor Rick Snyder. They addressed how technology and innovation can help the US address key challenges including Jobs, Growth, Education, and Urban Revival. A full archive of this event, including video of many of the sessions can be found at http://techonomy.com/conf/13-detroit/
While Techonomy Detroit was a public event focused on issues facing the US, Techonomy 2013 is an invite-only event that takes a more global, intimate, and interactive look at the impact of technology on business and society. "Every day we hear another way that technology transforms the way business is conducted and our lives are lived," said Techonomy founder David Kirkpatrick (who wrote The Facebook Effect). "We want to help business leaders understand and exploit the opportunities inherent in this time of exponential change.
