Telco Systems Appoints Taylor Salman to Lead Marketing and Business Development

MANSFIELD, Mass., Jan. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Telco Systems, a BATM company (LSE: BVC,TASE: BATM) and developer of CE2.0 compliant multi-service Carrier Ethernet access, MPLS and SDN solutions, announced today that Taylor Salman joined the company as Vice President for Marketing, Product Management and Business Development to help increase Telco Systems' growing market share in the mobile backhaul, business Ethernet services, cloud networking and AdvancedTCA markets worldwide.

Taylor brings with him over 20 years of experience in software, hardware and telecommunications.  Most recently, Taylor worked for Tata Communications, helping to grow their North American enterprise business by 65% in two years. Prior to that, he worked for Ciena as the Director of Global Marketing, and was responsible for marketing and business development for Ciena's mobile backhaul, cable operator and government markets. Taylor also held marketing and technical positions at RCN Metro (now Sidera Networks), OPNET Technologies, CACI, and Booz Allen & Hamilton. Taylor holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, where he was a Rodman Scholar, and an M.S. in Telecommunications and Computers from George Washington University.
