Telect Names Richard Denenny Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Product Development

LIBERTY LAKE, Wash., July 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Telect, a global leader in data center and telecom network infrastructure equipment manufacturing, headquartered in Liberty Lake, Washington, announces the promotion of Richard Denenny to Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Product Development.

Denenny was hired as Telect's Vice President of Product and New Market Development in the fall of 2013. "Richard has shown exceptional leadership and developed a strong team chemistry between Sales, Marketing, and Product Development," said Wayne Williams, Telect President and CEO. "Uniting these departments under one leader brings us back to our entrepreneurial roots, and Richard has the right combination of connectedness, business acumen, and a futuristic drive for growth required to lead these three teams."   

Named a "Rising Star" in Washington Law and Politics, and a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Denenny was an attorney at K&L Gates, LLP, in Seattle from 2006 to 2011, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing, and business transactions. Denenny represented companies including Starbucks, Microsoft, Draper Valley Farms, Boo-Shoot Gardens, Next IT Corporation, The Odom Corporation, and various start-ups.

Denenny joined Telect after two years as Next IT's COO/CFO. At Next IT, he managed all day-to-day operations and collaborated with the CEO to develop company strategies, including building a new direct sales team and revising the company's go-to-market strategy.

Heavily involved in fostering innovation and business development, Denenny has mentored, coached, or judged several entrepreneurial competitions, including Startup Weekend Spokane, the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business Venture Capital Investment Competition, and the Inland Northwest Business Plan Competition.
