Teletrac Wins FMCSA Contract for Cross-Border Long-Haul Trucking Program

GARDEN GROVE, Calif., Oct. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Teletrac, a leading provider of advanced fleet management solutions for the trucking industry since 1988, today announced it has been selected by the Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to provide its award-winning Fleet Director® GPS fleet tracking and Hours of Service (HOS) software to FMCSA for its United States – Mexico cross-border, long-haul trucking pilot program. As indicated in the FMCSA Federal Register Notice, all Mexican carrier trucks designated for inclusion in the program will be equipped with a GPS and HOS services electronic monitoring device.  The Company's flagship solution, Fleet Director®, is fully compliant with current FMCSA regulations for vehicle and driver monitoring.
