Telgian Executive Chairman Russell Leavitt Represents NFPA Board of Directors at Memorandum of Understanding Signing in Abu Dhabi

PHOENIX, April 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Fire, security, and life safety services provider Telgian Corporation Executive Chairman Russell Leavitt traveled to Abu Dhabi last week on behalf of the National Fire Protection Association(NFPA) Board of Directors to witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between NFPA and the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Interior.

The agreement, signed by NFPA President Jim Pauley and Major General Jassim Mohamed Al Marzooqi for the UAE Ministry of Interior, is a mutual commitment between the two parties to advance fire and life safety practices in the United Arab Emirates. Telgian Executive Chairman Russell Leavitt and His Highness Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan were on hand to witness the signing.

As part of the agreement, NFPA will assist in the development of training and certification programs, joint research projects, conferences and seminars, and the adoption of various codes and standards in the UAE.
