Tennis Ventures to Host BNP Paribas Open Tennis Camp with Justin Gimelstob, Lindsay Davenport & The Bryan Brothers

PHOENIX, Aug. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tennis Ventures, the Phoenix-based tour operator of the international grand slam tennis tournaments has teamed up with Justin Gimelstob, Lindsay Davenport & The Bryan Brothers to create a tennis camp in conjunction with the 2013 BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California.

The 6-day tennis camp will be held at Rancho Las Palmas Resort, one of Tennis Magazine's Top 50 USA Tennis Resorts.  Participants will get up to 15 hours of on-court tennis instruction and match play in addition to 3 sessions of premier seating at one of the most exciting and well attended tennis tournaments in the world.

Justin Gimelstob, the current Tennis Channel, NBC and CBS Broadcaster and Head Coach for the camp, commented, "This is a great opportunity to get out on the courts with my friends and colleagues to share our knowledge and skills of the game with a group of people who are just as passionate about the game as we are."  Gimelstob will also invite other former players and tour coaches to join Bob Bryan, Mike Bryan and Lindsay Davenport to help coach at the camp. 

The 2012 Olympic Gold Medalists, Bob and Mike Bryan, said they are excited to be joining the Tennis Ventures camp as coaches. "We love to be able to coach and play with our fans at a tournament like the BNP Paribas Open, said Mike Bryan, the older, by three minutes, of the chest bumping tennis duo. "What makes the Tennis Ventures camp so unique for us, is the ability to compete at the BNP Paribas while also having a great fan experience and interaction," added Bob Bryan. 

Another tennis legend, Olympic Gold Medalist and former World No. 1 player, Lindsay Davenport, will also be joining the Tennis Ventures camp staff and is looking forward to getting on the courts with the participants and giving them insights into her own success. "I enjoy being able to help tennis players improve and better enjoy the sport I love so much," Davenport said. "Tennis is one of few sports that allow adults of all ages and abilities to compete all the way up to a national stage.  I hope some of what we share during the camp will help someone get there.  If not, then the one thing I can guarantee is that we'll have fun."
