TES Global Hires eBay Executive Brigitte Ricou-Bellan as Managing Director of Digital for Teachers

TES Global, the global digital education business, today announced the appointment of Brigitte Ricou-Bellan as its new Managing Director, Digital. In her new role she will focus on delivering and scaling digital services for a global community of 7.3 million teachers. Brigitte joins TES Global from eBay Inc. where she started and led StubHub International.

Based in the UK, Brigitte will lead a global division dedicated to supporting teachers around the world through a suite of digital services, with a particular focus on the company's growing U.S. business. Those services range from teacher training following the recent acquisition of Hibernia College UK, to Continuous Professional Development (CPD), and a global marketplace for resources created by teachers for teachers. The marketplace will be available to the fast growing global community of over 7 million teachers who are actively downloading 1 million free resources every day.

Brigitte joined eBay Inc. in 2011. As General Manager of StubHub International she was responsible for the overall development and execution of its international expansion outside of the U.S. Under Brigitte's leadership, StubHub successfully launched in the UK and in Canada and expanded into the EMEA and APAC regions.

Prior to joining eBay Inc, Brigitte was with Dow Jones for 5 years, most recently as the Vice President and Managing Director of the Dow Jones Enterprise Solutions Group, driving the global development and success of the award-winning Factiva web and mobile platform and global business across 20 markets.

Brigitte joined eBay inc. in 2011 to start and lead StubHub International. As StubHub International GM, Brigitte was responsible for the overall development and execution of StubHub's international expansion outside of the USA. Under Brigitte's leadership StubHub successfully launched in the UK and in Canada and expanded in EMEA, and APAC, establishing strategic partnerships with eBay, Pay Pal and key players in the industry, and building a best in class multi-national team and expansion model.

Prior to joining eBay Inc, Brigitte was with Dow Jones for 5 years, most recently as the Vice president and Managing Director of the Dow Jones Enterprise Solutions Group, driving the global development and success of the award winning Factiva Web & Mobile platform and global business across 20 markets, with a global portfolio of over 6000 large customers including 80% of Fortune 500 companies. While at Dow Jones, Brigitte was on the Board of Directors of SIIA Content Division

Brigitte has held senior-level positions in Europe and in the USA- in Internet & Cloud Services start up Prosodie as VP of Marketing and Mobile & eCommerce GM, as well as Netcom Consultants, where she lead the UK market consulting practice, and in Vivendi/SFR group as head of Operations.
