Software quality firm continues expansion in Asia with key sales and support office in Japan
TestPlant, the maker of the eggPlant range of software quality tools, today announced it has opened a global sales office in Tokyo, Japan. The office is located in the Shimbashi business district of the city, home to the corporate headquarters of many of Japan's largest companies.
Japan is the second largest technology market in the world, with tech spending expected to increase 4.4% in 2016. Tokyo is a hub of Asia Pacific business headquarters and R&D centers, and at least 500 foreign companies are expected to be operating there by next year. Japan's IT industry is concentrated in Tokyo, including more than half of information services and software companies, and e-commerce is seeing double-digit growth in the city.
TestPlant counts large companies including NTT DOCOMO, Sharp, NIKKEI and Yahoo! among its customers in Japan. The company's Tokyo office will support its existing customers as well as drive new business in the country and is led by David Marks and David Royer, TestPlant's representatives in the country.
