NEW YORK, April 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Teuwen Communications, a full-service agency specializing in public relations, marketing and brand strategies for national and international food, wine and spirits companies, announces its first branch extension from its headquarters in New York City. Louise Jordan, DWS, Vice President, is relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area to open the agency's West Coast bureau in May 2016.
President Stephanie Teuwen says, "Teuwen Communications' expansion to the Bay Area is the next exciting step in the agency's continued growth. We will create and develop even more dynamic and strategic programming for our clients by strengthening our West Coast media and trade relationships."
Jordan will continue to co-manage current wine clients with an emphasis on increasing media and trade programming on the West Coast. She will also cultivate new business opportunities for Teuwen Communications, focusing on bolstering the agency's relationships with wineries in California, Oregon and Washington State.
"Over the past five years, Louise has played an integral part in building the agency's wine business. As a 14-year wine industry veteran with extensive experience in wine branding, sales, marketing and PR, she is well suited to establish our Bay Area bureau, furthering our clients' reach and Teuwen Communications' footprint," says Teuwen.
In 2015, Teuwen Communications celebrated its 20th anniversary. The agency has experienced tremendous growth over the last couple of years. From 2013 to 2015, total sales increased over 67% and the number of employees doubled.
Recent additions to Teuwen Communications' client roster include for wine: Esporão (Alentejo & Douro, Portugal) and Falesco (Umbria & Lazio, Italy); and for food: Le Pain Quotidien and Le Botaniste. They join Bordeaux Wines, Wines of Alsace, Rhône Valley Wines, Côtes de Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion-Pomerol-Fronsac, Champagne Laurent-Perrier, Elena Walch and Goat Cheeses of France, as 2016 clients.
