Teuwen Communications Bolsters West Coast Bureau
Long-Time Senior Team Member Joins Agency's Bay Area Office
NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Teuwen Communications, a full-service agency specialized in public relations, marketing and brand strategies for domestic and international food, wine and spirits companies, announces that Senior Account Supervisor Cassidy Havens, DipWSET, has relocated to the agency's West Coast office.

Founded in 1995 by President Stephanie Teuwen and Photographer Geert Teuwen, Teuwen Communications undertook its first branch expansion to the San Francisco Bay Area in May 2016 with the relocation of staff member Louise Jordan, DipWSET. Since then, the agency has retained several clients and added new brands and regions to its portfolio: Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance in California and Long Island Wine Council in New York, its first American wine regions; and the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac, the agency's first spirit Geographic Indication.
Havens joined Teuwen Communications in July 2012. Over the past five years, she has grown to her current role through successfully managed media, trade, consumer and digital programs for wine regions and brands, including Wines of Alsace, Bordeaux Wines and Elena Walch, among others.
At the San Francisco Bay Area bureau, Havens will continue to co-manage a variety of accounts and will take the lead on the agency's West Coast actions, including new business opportunities, as Jordan steps into an advisory role. Havens will further cultivate media and trade relationships, kicking off this month with a Cognac Crawl in San Francisco and an Alsace GuildSomm seminar in Los Angeles.
An honors graduate of New York University's Steinhardt School of Media, Culture and Communication, Havens has actively continued her education now focusing her studies on wine. In January 2017, she completed the Wine & Spirit Education Trust's Diploma program and in October 2017, she will begin the California Wine Appellation Specialist program at the San Francisco Wine School.
