Breeders' Cup Juvenile Champion Takes on first Triple Crown Winner in 37 Years
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y., Aug. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard Rawlings of Gas Monkey Garage and star of DISCOVERY CHANNEL's famed, top-rated show Fast N' Loud has entered into a partnership with the highly touted, three-year-old colt Texas Red and Team Texas Red at this weekend's $1,250,000 Grade l Travers Stakes, it was announced today.
The partnership will consist of onsite branding on horse clothing, Hall of Fame jockey Kent Desormeaux, stable employees and the ownership partners. In addition, Richard will have his production crew onsite to film exclusive behind the scenes footage with Team Texas Red with a planned inclusion on an upcoming episode of the popular series Fast N' Loud.

Hall of Fame jockey Kent Desormeaux will fly in from California to ride the highly touted three-year-old colt when he takes on American Pharoah in the 146th edition of the Travers Stakes. American Pharoah was the first horse in 37 years to be crowned Triple Crown Champion when he crossed the finish line first in the 2015 Belmont Stakes. The 2014 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Champion, Texas Red was an early Kentucky Derby favorite before being sidelined with a minor foot injury.
Texas Red made his last start in the Grade ll $600,000.00 Jim Dandy Stakes, August 1, where he defeated Frosted, who will also be a contender in the Travers ten horse field tomorrow.
