Texas State Optical announces the opening of its newest location in Richardson, TX

RICHARDSON, Texas, Jan. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas State Optical announces the opening of its newest location in Richardson, TX. The office is owned by Valenta Carter, OD, a 2010 graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry.

The opening of this location is a milestone in the Texas State Optical network since it is the first of a new model of TSO, Inc. securing the location, designing the office and providing a turn-key program of inventory, exam equipment and standard operating procedures.

The new office design is open, contemporary, has no front desk and utilizes iPads instead of desktop computers for working with patients. The design was developed in conjunction with Eye Designs in Pennsylvania.

All of the preliminary exam and exam equipment are digital and from Zeiss Vision and Zeiss Medi-Tech with everything communicating with each other and interfacing with Eyefinity's cloud based EHR and PMS office system.

Earlier this year, Texas State Optical and Zeiss Vision formed a partnership which includes prescription lens production, stock lenses, equipment and education, training platforms. The integration with the new Richardson office launches the first full Zeiss, patient experience.
