New agreement will connect more Texas veterans with recreational opportunities while increasing awareness of state veteran services and resources.
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Texas Veterans Commission (TVC),and Vet Tix (Veteran Tickets Foundation) today announced a new statewide collaboration to expand access to recreational opportunities and connect more Texas veterans, service members and their families with valuable resources and support.
Through a newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, the two organizations will leverage their respective networks to increase awareness of Vet Tix's complimentary event ticket program and the services available through TVC. The collaboration will help eligible veterans and service members discover opportunities to attend sporting events, concerts, performing arts and family activities while introducing Vet Tix's Texas membership to TVC programs and resources.
"Our goal is to make sure Texas veterans know about the opportunities and resources available to them," said Thomas P. Palladino, Executive Director of the Texas Veterans Commission. "Vet Tix gives veterans and their families opportunities to enjoy experiences together, and this collaboration allows us to introduce even more veterans to those opportunities while connecting Vet Tix members with the services and support available through TVC. It's a simple way for two organizations to extend their reach and make a meaningful difference for the people we serve."
Under the agreement, TVC will introduce eligible veterans and service members to Vet Tix through its statewide outreach and communications efforts, including its website, social media, newsletters and regional events. Vet Tix, in turn, will feature TVC among its strategic partners and introduce its Texas membership to the Commission's programs and services. The organizations will also explore opportunities to collaborate on veteran-focused events and educational initiatives across the state.

Since 2008, Vet Tix has distributed more than 40 million complimentary event tickets to currently serving military members, veterans and eligible family members of those killed in action, promoting wellness and community reintegration through shared experiences.
Eligible Texas veterans, service members and qualifying military family members can register for free at www.VetTix.org to request available event tickets. Tickets are provided at no cost, although applicable delivery fees may apply. Ticket availability varies by event and location.
