Textron Systems Launches Newest Member of its A²PATS™ Product Line: A²DRI™

HUNT VALLEY, Md., April 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Textron Systems Electronic Systems, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) business, announced today that its Advanced Architecture Data Recorder/Injector (A²DRI^™) has joined the growing Advanced Architecture Phase Amplitude and Time Simulator (A²PATS^™) product line.

The A²DRI, a new accessory of Textron Systems' proven A²PATS product line, allows the A²PATS system to produce or consume user programmable pulse descriptor words (PDWs), such as the Next-Generation Electronic Warfare Environment Generator (NEWEG) digital generator (DGEN) compliant format. The A²DRI interface device ingests and converts the PDWs to be utilized by the A²PATS, which are able to be captured, stored and played back.

This product allows fielded and future A²PATS systems to generate radio frequency (RF) signals in compliance with the U.S. Navy's NEWEG DGEN standard. A²DRI's eight terabytes of redundant array of independent disks (RAID) storage allows existing A²PATS users to store, record and play back large amounts of PDWs.

The A²DRI can be easily interfaced through Textron Systems' open architecture commercial instrument line including RF sources and measurement systems. This new product provides this unique capability to industrial and institutional customers alike.
