The 10 Tastiest Eats At NBA And NHL Arenas This Season

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of National Sandwich Day, November 3, 2014, Aramark (NYSE: ARMK), the exclusive food and beverage partner for five NBA and six NHL teams, is rolling out a new lineup of ten tasty sandwiches, paying tribute to each team's heritage and fans.

The Tribute Sandwich Series, which includes ten delicious sandwiches, available at eight NHL and NBA arenas, features sandwiches that celebrate local ingredients and flavors, while giving a nod to former team greats and the team's history.

"Each season, the Aramark culinary team looks for ways to enhance the game day experience for fans, by introducing innovative and exciting menu items. What better way to connect fans to their favorite teams and the cities they love, than to incorporate that city's culture and history into the menus we serve?" said Carl Mittleman, President of Aramark's Sports and Entertainment division.

Aramark's new lineup of Tribute Sandwiches are available now and include the following:

• AT&T Center (San Antonio Spurs)

Dynasty Quesadilla, celebrating the Spurs' 5^th NBA Championship in 2014 -- Five cheese quesadilla, featuring Asadero, pepper jack, white American, cheddar and white queso cheeses, served with three traditional sides (guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo), in honor of the Spurs' "Big Three" (Section 122)

• CONSOL Energy Center (Pittsburgh Penguins)

Polish Hill Pretzel, a tribute to the Polish Hill neighborhood in Pittsburgh -- Shaved kielbasa with caramelized pierogi, white American cheese, house mustard served on a pretzel bun (Sections 107, 212, & 232)

• CONSOL Energy Center (Pittsburgh Penguins)

Ole 29er, a tribute to Penguins great, Phil Bourque, who wore number 29 -- Smoked pork, mac & cheese, baked beans and coleslaw, in a waffle bowl (Section 205)

• Canadian Tire Centre (Ottawa Senators)

The Sens Prime Rib Double Decker, a two-sandwich tribute to the storied heritage of the Ottawa Senators -- Chopped prime rib, in a sweet steak house sauce, with Sriracha mayo and crispy Tabasco onions, on a potato scallion bun, topped with a melted provolone tomato brioche slider, frisee lettuce and onion rings. The Skywalker, a tribute to David Thompson, Denver Nugget Hall of Famer -- Chicken and waffle sandwich with lettuce, tomato, peppered bacon and Cholula aioli, served with a side of maple syrup for dunkin' (Sections 110, 148)

• Pepsi Center (Colorado Avalanche)

The Burgundy and Bleu, a tribute to the two-time Stanley Cup Champions, Colorado Avalanche, whose team colors are burgundy and blue -- Chicken and waffle sandwich with bleu cheese coleslaw and a slap shot of Frank's Red Hot Sauce (Sections 110, 148)

• Quicken Loans Arena (Cleveland Cavaliers)

The 216, a tribute to Cleveland's area code and Cleveland pride -- Locally made Hungarian sausage with slow smoked pork shoulder, tangy barbecue sauce, red pepper relish, cinnamon dusted sweet potato tots and beer cheese fondue on a sourdough roll (Section 104)

• SAP Center (San Jose Sharks)

Big O, a take on Sharks former captain Owen Nolan's favorite sandwich -- Chicken parmesan, parmesan herb breaded chicken breast with roasted garlic spread, peppered bacon, caramelized onions, mozzarella cheese, spicy tomato basil sauce, fresh baby spinach (Club Level)

Monumental Burger, a tribute to the iconic monuments found throughout the Nation's Capital -- Grass-fed, fresh beef burger with Monterey-Jack cheese, jalapeno ranch dressing, bacon and avocado spread, on a brioche bun (Sections 102, 105, 116, 413, 417, 432)           

• Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia Flyers)       

The Hammer, a tribute to the Flyers' feared enforcer, Dave Schultz -- Smoked sausage with house smoked chopped pork, choice of barbecue sauce on a seeded roll (Section 119)
