The 30th Bangkok International Fashion Fair & Bangkok International Leather Fair (BIFF & BIL 2012) Showcases a Much-heralded Fashion Parade of Glamour and Glitter Created by up-and-coming Asean Designers
BANGKOK, June 15, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government in collaboration with 15 Thai fashion and leather industry groups will organize the largest and most-established fashion and leather products trade fair in Asia, "BIFF & BIL 2012" (The Bangkok International Fashion Fair and Bangkok International Leather Fair 2012) under the concept "ASEAN INTEGRATION: SUCCESS & BEYOND". BIFF & BIL 2012 will play a major role as a platform for business networking between international visitors and Thai entrepreneurs to create synergy between Thai and ASEAN fashion and leather businesses. Ultimately this will make the region a truly world-class fashion leader.

With the combined objectives to show Thailand's potential as a regional leader and as a fashion hub, providing fashion industry services from production to marketing & sales in order to inspire fashion and leather designers and entrepreneurs, encourage their creativity and provide them the opportunity to become industry leaders in the ASEAN region, "BIFF & BIL 2012" will assemble over 350 leading entrepreneurs and more than 700 booths. It is anticipated that more than 40,000 business persons including local and overseas visitors will join the exhibition.
Highlights of BIFF & BIL 2012 will include a Fashion Show featuring works by renowned international and Asian designers; a Trend Forum, a clustering of state-of-the-art innovations in garment, textile, leatherwear and shoe manufacturing; the Designers' Room, which will encourage talented Thai designers to consider the benefits of becoming fashion exporters in the future; Thai Tex Trend (T3), which will showcase the potential of Thai textile manufacturers with invited world-class experts from Italy. A special Workshop will display up-to-date design techniques and will work towards improving dressmaking techniques to meet the needs of the global market. Fashion Focus aims to provide entrepreneurs with the skills necessary to penetrate the US market; from production to one-stop marketing & sales.
