The 4th Annual Launching Las Vegas Award Is Now Accepting Votes

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Launching Las Vegas, a community driven award created to celebrate Vegas-based startup companies, is back for its fourth year. Founded to honor the hard work and commitment our local entrepreneurs devote to helping Vegas grow as a hub for business, the Launching Las Vegas contest relies on the community to choose a startup to be awarded a cash prize—and voting is now officially open to the public.

"It's been an honor to help rally our community and support local startups and entrepreneurs with over $4,000 awarded since the contest's inception," states Dr. Samir Pancholi, founder of the award. The winner of the 2018 Launching Las Vegas award will be selected by the Vegas community via an online voting system, open Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 through Wednesday, November 14th, 2018. Users will be able to vote for their favorite startup company once per day through the duration of the contest. And the end of the contest, votes will be tallied, and the winner of the 2018 Launching Las Vegas Award will receive a $1,000 cash prize. The runner-up will be awarded $250.

For 2018, Dr. Pancholi and the Launching Las Vegas Committee handpicked three local businesses that stood out for the quality of products, love of Las Vegas, and commitment to giving back to the community. The nominees are: Freedom Deodorant, a provider of natural, luxury products that really work; Sin City Cupcakes, a bakery specializing in both alcoholic and virgin cupcakes, expertly baked fresh-to-order; and The Sweat Store, a female-owned and operated active and athleisure retailer hoping to help women feel empowered, bold, and sexy.
