The 6th Annual Entheofest returns to the University of Michigan Diag on September 20, 2026 from 11am-2pm

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The 6th Annual Entheofest will be held on the University of Michigan Diag on Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 11am-2pm, honoring natural sacred medicines and marking six years since the City of Ann vcArbor voted to decriminalize entheogenic plants, fungi, and animals.

Entheofest is brought to you by LEAF Harm Reduction, Decriminalize Psilocybin Michigan and the University of Michigan's The Lookout Project: bringing activism, art, music and education to a free-speech event that helps mobilize and motivate community outreach and decriminalization throughout the state of Michigan.

About Entheofest

In September 2020, the Ann Arbor City Council unanimously passed a resolution decriminalizing entheogenic plants, fungi, and animals. Ann Arbor was the fourth city in the United States and the first in Michigan to do so. That same year, the Ann Arbor City Council designated September as Entheogenic Plant and Fungi Awareness Month. Washtenaw County followed in 2021 with a countywide policy declining to prosecute the use and possession of these substances. This year the festival lands on Sunday, September 20, which is also recognized as Global Mushroom Day.

Entheofest kicks off with keynote speaker and author of Psychedelics & the Counterculture of Aging, Abbie Rosner. The main event will feature speakers on a range of topics, and educational tables featuring reform, harm reduction, and mycology orgs. The main event will be followed by panel discussions at the Michigan League from 2:30pm-5pm. The panels are a short walk from the Diag, and will bring community leaders together to discuss 'Building Community with Entheogens', along with 'Using Entheogens for Harm Reduction'. Speakers and panel members will be made public the day of the event.

The weekend opens the evening of Saturday, September 19, at Crazy Wisdom Bookstore, where Rosner signs her new book, Psychedelics and the Counterculture of Aging. The book signing is from 6-8pm. RSVP is recommended but not required.
