WASHINGTON, Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, September 7, 2011, The Atlantic's "Women of Washington" series will take an in-depth look at the future of U.S. energy policy. Carol Browner, former director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy, will sit down with Atlantic Media Company's Linda Douglass for a one-on-one interview on the topic. Ms. Browner, who also previously served as the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, is now a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress.
This is the second in a series of four "Women of Washington" events The Atlantic will host in 2011. The event series showcases conversations with eminent women leaders in Washington, D.C. on issues ranging from debt reform and energy to healthcare and politics.
