The Atlantic's "Women of Washington" Series to Feature Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) on Wednesday, October 19, 2011
WASHINGTON, Oct. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Can innovations in the energy industry help stimulate the global economy? To explore this question -- and how we achieve a sustainable energy policy in the U.S. -- Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) will join The Atlantic's Women of Washington series on October 19, 2011 for a one-on-one interview with Linda Douglass.
This is the third in a series of four "Women of Washington" events The Atlantic will host in 2011. The event series showcases conversations with eminent women leaders in Washington, D.C. on issues ranging from debt reform and energy to healthcare and politics. Earlier this year, the series featured Dr. Alice Rivlin, former head of the CBO and the OMB discussing the national debt limit and U.S. tax policy, and Carol Browner, former director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy. ExxonMobil is the presenting underwriter of the series.
