HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., May 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- 1-800-CANTASO, Ferro, Kuba, Mangano, Sklyar, P.C., and JVC Broadcasting have joined forces to launch the newest Latino radio show Almorzando Con Cantaso. Airing weekdays from 1 to 2 PM on Long Island's La Nueva Fiesta 98.5 FM, on-air personalities Bernardino Rosario and Astrid Cordoba discuss important issues in the Latino community with DJ Midas spinning the latest mixes. The show promises to be unique in its format, combining music, legal segments, and the promotion of local musicians and entertainers.
The show premiered on Monday, May 9th, featuring guest artist Luivy. A Brooklyn-born recording sensation, Luivy lit up the charts in 2010 with his hit song "Ponlo Ahi" and premiered his new single "Crazy Girl" for the first time on US radio. "The energy of Almorzando Con Cantaso was hot. I love this show," he said.
Almorzando Con Cantaso will have weekly segments including "Maffio Mondays," featuring Dominican-born recording artist and acclaimed producer Maffio Alkatraks, celebrity gossip and news Thursdays with Miss Dominican Republic finalist, model, and actress Evi Sisko, and "Fashion Fridays" with Peruvian-born designer Jessica Banda of Pietra Banchi.
"Hosts Bernardino and Astrid have a chemistry that makes the show fun and inviting to its guests and audience. Because of its unique format and diverse cast, Almorzando Con Cantaso offers something special for a variety of listeners - from music to fashion, from legal to social topics. We created this show with the interests of a broad Latino community in mind," said William Ferro, 1-800-CANTASO/FKMS partner.
