SANTA MONICA, Calif., Aug. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- With the continued success of two existing locations in Malibu, CA and Niagara, NY, The Biggest Loser Resort announces the openings of two new state-of-the-art locations this fall. The Biggest Loser Resort Chicago will open September 6 in the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort & Spa in Chicago, IL and The Biggest Loser Resort at The Villas of Amelia Island Plantation will open October 18 in Jacksonville, FL.

Although activities will vary per location, fitness classes typically include hikes, kickboxing, circuit training, H2O aerobics and total toning classes while cooking demonstrations and education classes typically include topics such as wellness education and healthy meal preparation. The Biggest Loser Resort Chicago will offer outdoor excursions to the beach for cardio and strength training and running stairs at a nearby park, while guests of The Biggest Loser Resort at The Villas of Amelia Island Plantation will be able to kayak and paddleboard through the island's preserved marshlands as part of their exercise routine. What guests may not expect during the program is the bond they will form with other like-minded guests as they surpass challenges together that are both physical and mental.

Programs at The Biggest Loser Resort Chicago at Hilton Indian Resorts & Spa and The Biggest Loser Resort at The Villas of Amelia Island Plantation will range from multiples of seven-day packages.  Mini-packages and corporate team building packages are also available as well through the resort's "Town Program," where guests can attend the program in its entirety alongside other guests throughout the day, without staying at the hotel overnight. This program is a popular option for locally based guests that are still able to dedicate themselves to the full schedule.  The unique "resort within a resort" model allows access to numerous amenities not available at other Biggest Loser Resort locations, such as a championship golf course and much more.
