Mark Thompson Joins Firm as Consumer Technology Practice Leader
CUPERTINO, Calif., April 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Brenner Group®, Silicon Valley's leading provider of interim financial management, restructuring services, business valuations, and financial advisory services for the venture capital community, announced today that Mark Thompson has been appointed Consumer Technology Practice Leader for the firm's Interim Finance & Accounting Group. The Consumer Technologies practice will focus on supporting all venture-backed web-based B-to-C companies including SaaS, social media, mobile, payment and financial services, gaming, and related technologies and applications. Services offered for Consumer Technology companies include interim and part-time CFOs and controllers, restructuring assistance, 409A valuations and financial advisory.

Prior to joining The Brenner Group, Thompson spent 18 years in various senior technology finance roles including CFO at Spark Networks, Pay By Touch, Vectiv and MarketTools. Additionally, Thompson held senior financial positions at PeopleSoft, Chiron and Chevron.
Thompson received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Texas A&M and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
