The Celebrating Open Hearts Contest Launches to Honor Deserving Organizations

AKRON, Ohio, Jan. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Open Hearts Foundation, a nonprofit charity established to honor those who have experienced challenges and transformed personal adversity into opportunities to help others, has launched the Celebrating Open Hearts Contest to recognize organizations that go above and beyond to make a difference in the world. The contest, which runs through February 2, honors those who truly embody the Open Hearts philosophy, which is inspired by Jane Seymour's mother's advice that if you keep your heart open, love will always find its way in.

To participate, visitors just need to register at www.CelebratingOpenHeartsContest.com and nominate a group or organization that is truly deserving of praise and admiration – specifically those that do amazing things every day but may not receive the recognition they deserve. All submissions will be judged based upon quality of entry, relevance to theme and impact of entry, and four finalists will be selected to have their nominated organization receive special recognition, a donation and a visit from Jane.

This Spring, participants will have the opportunity to vote for the finalist that they feel most deserves to be recognized for celebrating the Open Hearts philosophy. The Grand Prize winner will be named in advance of Mother's Day.
