The Constellations New Album "DO IT FOR FREE" Available Everywhere Today, June 12th

SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Constellations, astute purveyors of Atlanta's rock/soul underbelly, have signed with 429 Records and are set for the release today of "DO IT FOR FREE"—their debut album for 429 and the follow up to their acclaimed debut "Southern Gothic."  A special edition of the album with 3 exclusive bonus tracks and video for "Side By Side" is available at iTunes.  Also available on iTunes are 38 free live tracks from the bands on the Warped Tour including The Constellations (link below).   Winners of a remix contest hosted by Indaba for the track "Back In Atlanta" will be announced on June 13th.  Known for their live show, the band will perform on the entire Warped Tour this summer.

Led by Elijah Jones, and featuring Wes Hoffman (bass), Travis Phillips (guitar), James Gordon (keyboards) and Shane Hoffman (drums)—the  band reinforce their reputation for hard swinging alt beats but have honed their musical outlook concentrating on muscular grooves  and  a more soulful melodicism.  Produced by Andy Rose, the swirling funk anchored by the B3 and Fender Rhodes Organ provides the perfect backdrop for the band's trademark gritty songwriting.
