 Innovative hospitality leader unveils 28-flexible stay units in downtown revitalization project with Weston Urban

WASHINGTON, Feb. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Placemakr, a flexible-use hospitality and multifamily operator, today announced the launch of its newest property in San Antonio, The Continental, powered by Placemakr. Launching in partnership with Weston Urban, this property will be a part of the new Continental Block Development, breathing new life into one of San Antonio's architectural gems, transforming the historic Continental Hotel into 28-cutting edge, furnished apartment units for short-term hospitality stays. Guests can now book these apartment-style accommodations, with studio and one or two-bedroom units available for stays beginning in March. 

The Continental, powered by Placemakr is the first phase of Weston Urban's ambitious 1.9-acre redevelopment project to open, which includes 290 mixed-income housing units and 22,000 square feet of retail and commercial space. This project dovetails into the nearby University of Texas at San Antonio downtown campus expansion and recently completed San Pedro Creek restoration, all of which are injecting new vitality into the downtown area.
