The Economist Launches Its First Ever Daily Edition, to Provide Readers with a Concise Morning Briefing

LONDON, Nov. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today The Economist launches The Economist Espresso, the first daily edition in the publication's 171-year history. The Economist Espresso was developed to serve as a complement to the weekly edition of the publication and will perform the same function as The Economist—distilling what's important from the news and explaining what it means, providing readers with a trusted filter on world affairs. Available via iOS and Android smartphone apps or as an e-mail, Espresso is a concise briefing designed to be read on the go.
